We have decided to start a blog to share our building experience with all of our friends and family who wish to take this journey with us. We started on this wonderful, but incredibly stressful at times, road in late 2008 when we decided that the first home owner boost of $21,000 meant that we might be able to afford to enter the housing market. Having been renting on acreage we decided that we wanted to buy an acre of our very own in the gorgeous suburb of New Beith. So we did.......the land contract settled in March 2009.

Then came the fun part, choosing the type of house that we wanted to build. We decided to build the Baroness 274 with Coral Homes. This model suited the lay of the land that we had bought and thought that it would be a lovely family home for our future children. We made a few modifications and made the plan our own. We love it - what do you think?
