Well, this was the day that we had been waiting for...... Our slab was poured and I was very impressed to see how quickly it was done. They were finishing up around 1230pm having started about 6am. I took the doggies up in the morning to see it, and I had to try very hard to restrain them from putting puppy prints all over the pretty new concrete. I am sure the concreters would have been very unimpressed!
When I went back again in the afternoon they were polishing up the concrete to make it pretty and flat.
I couldn't resist carving our initials in the slab :)
Having a slab makes building very real now. Had to take some of our besties up to the land on Saturday to celebrate! The next step is to put up the frame, which should take about a week. The following week the roof should go on (weather permitting, of course - we have some storms forecast for the next week). Fingers crossed .....
